La fotografia de los paisajes fueron muy buenas, los actores muy bien y bonitos, la pelicula debe ser de ciencia ficcion y recomiendo no llevar a su hijo/a porque despues quedra meterce por los muros a ver como pasa a otro lugar. Para la gente de la avicion si esto existiera estan todos desempleados.

Disapointed

When I saw the trailers for this movie I have to admit I was very excited for it. But when I went and saw it I was very disapointed. The story goes absolutely nowhere. It doesnt explain itself at any point in the movie for anything that it throws at us. Like why he has the power, why exactly there is a so-called "war" even though there seems to be only one other "Jumper" involved in it. I have to mention thats another thing that bothered me is that in the tralier they act as if your going to see plenty of other jumpers that are going to help with this war but then theres only two and that includes Hayden Christiansons character (not much of a war if you ask me). And also they wasted the talents of the likes of Diane Lane who is in the movie for a total of 5 minutes as the mother of Hayden's character (which also goes nowhere). So there you have it the only good thing for this movie is that the special effects are great but that doesnt save this movie.

Awesome Ride

Though the back story is lacking depth and the exact EXPLANATION of why a "Jumper" can do what he does...(brief mention of wormholes)...this was an edge of the seat movie through and through. Absolutely fantastic CGI and Christenson's acting has come a long way from his cheesy Star Wars days. Plus,having Sam Jackson as the consummate bad*** always makes any movie fun to watch.

Anywhere is possible...

Although based on the novels by Steven Gould, Jumper fails to capture the satisfaction you want in a movie. I saw this movie solely on the fact that I knew Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot and Dear Wendy) had one of the main roles. Even though I was not disappointed with his acing, the rest of the cast fell far behind. Samuel L. Jackson?s character was cliché and forced and Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson?s looks masked their acting ability. I happen to like Rachel Bilson, but ended up wanting more out of her character; it was just too plain. Jumper is a film that tried to measure up to the X-Men movies. Hayden is a better-looking Nightcrawler (a mutant that can teleport anywhere), but he leaves a "scar" behind that gives away his position. There is also a fight between good and evil, but who is good and who is evil? The movie leaves the audience to decide who the good and bad guys are, ending with a probable sequel for the future.

This movie is AWESOME

This movie puts you on the edge of your seat, it lacks some depth, but makes up for it in awesome, you HAVE to see this movie. The acting is a little... meh, but it is a great movie to see with friends, the family, or whomever!

Just for the fun of it

This was kind of a "popcorn movie" to me. You go to be entertained and not worry if it's going to win an Oscar. I just sat back and enjoyed the show. It even picks up speed as you find out that--Surprise!--there's not just one Jumper in the world.

I could get used to a life of JUMPING!!!

It was a pretty good movie. I enjoyed it, but I guess my ability to willfully suspend disbelief is a little more advanced than others -- like those two critics who didn't like it. Sometimes it's nice just to enjoy the "FUN" of a movie.

A Summer Action Movie Come Early

The Good: If any fanboy had teleportation powers, they would use it exactly like the main character. No costume, no hero/villain bullsh*t, just enjoying the power and using it to their full extent. The fighting scenes were very cool and very well thought out. And one scene was just the most memorable (I won't spoil it, but all I will say is "BUS!").

The Bad: First off, it wasn't nearly long enough. They could have developed a lot more character backstory for everyone and extend the movie for another 20 or 30 minutes. There were multiple questions unanswered or weak answers to big plot lines (like why are the bad guys do what they do).
There really wasn't a real "end" to the movie, so it does leave it open to a sequel (or several).

To sum up, I thought it was pretty good. The effects were fantastic, story was decent (but not nearly solid enough) and it was an overall very enjoyable movie. I'd see it again.

GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!

We got to see this movie Wednesday ! It was fantastic !! People will say it does not really have a back story, which is kind of true. But , that aside it was fantastic , the effects were great and it was pretty clean for the most part. Plus I never knew how cute Haden Christianson was and he is a really good actor. I have never seen him in any thing else. All in all, if you want action I would suggest this movie. Note: If you get motion sickness sit AS FAR AS POSSIBLE AWAY FROM THE SCREEN!!! The movie pan's a lot

The first thing you have to know is that this movie is a cliffhanger, i.e. no real ending. As others have noted, there are more questions than answers. However, I have to say that I enjoyed the movie. The characters were engaging and the basic story line is pretty unique. I don't know where the producers are taking this premise, are they making a sequel? Is this leading to a TV series? Will there be books to answer the many remaining questions?

Jumper was fun, nothing epic, but just a good time! Everyone that says Hayden can't act, you can stick it in your juice box. definetly go. all the locations are awesome too!

Jumper jumped right past a good ending...

although the special effects were fun to watch, and the fight scenes kept my boyfriend entertained, we both felt that jumper failed to deliver an ending worth waiting for. maybe they were leaving it open for a sequel - but at this point i'm not sure we'd spend the money to see it!

Meh...

As a fan of cheesy sci-fi, i'm used to making allowances
for flimsy plotlines and weak acting.
I really wanted to like this film.
Although the visual effects were executed well, the teleport
gimmick got old really quickly.
Sam Jackson and Diane Lane were totally wasted.
It all boils down to your personal tolerance for Hayden,
which doesn't amount to much for myself.

Honestly, I've had more fun staying home and paying bills!
Wait for DVD!

Pretty Good Movie

We thought it was a pretty good movie. Lots of action and I thought the story line was good too. they ended it wide open for either a sequel or better yet a TV series. It could very well be a great series.

This movie had so much potential or maybe I just expected too much from it This movie stars Hayden Christensen as David Rice, a kid who ran away from a un-loving father and from being an outcast in school when he finds out he has the power to teleport He ends up in New York where he robs a bank to make ends meet; enter Samuel L Jackson as Roland who finds his way to a bank that is robbed with no sign of entry 8 years later David is on top of the world jumping without a care in the world until Roland catches up to him With nowhere else to go David goes back home to reunite with his high school crush Millie (Rachel Bilson). He convinces her to travel to Rome where he is tracked down by Roland's henchmen and a battle ensues inside the Colosseum between David and fellow jumper Griffin (Jamie Bell) who has been fighting Roland for awhile now. The action is great but the story leaves you wanting more How do people get this power? Why are they being hunted? 2.5 out 4 wait for dvd if you can
