With His Own Fervor, Atkinson Channels Peter Sellers Once Again.

Fun and funny, Rowan Atkinson takes us on yet another English journey (literally). Despite slight cultural differences in humor, this one will please U.S. Atkinson fans. Riotous it's not, but make no mistake, it has moments of hilarity only this singular gentleman could incite from an audience. This film is kid and family safe, although there are a couple of sight gags that some parents might deem inappropriate. Worth every bit of today's ticket price, if you're looking for a lighter experience than demons and sci-fi swashbucklers this weekend, then look no further than Johnny English 'Reborn.' If this movie doesn't make you laugh, likely you're already dead. Oh, and stay for the credits. You'll be glad you did.

    So very funny

Went with my wife and 10 and 12 year old boys, and we were all in stitches throughout.
This is NOT Mr Bean, this is altogether better.

    Enjoyed!

There was a great age-appropriate movie for my entire family to go see (with my daughter, 12 YO and being the youngest, and sons 15 and 18) -- the first time that we have gone to see a movie in quite a while. While not a "keep you in stitches" comedy, it was a quite good comedy with lots of funny lines and scenes. This was not the typical "Mr. Bean" movie with Rowan Atkinson either. While he does some of his typical physical comedy, it contributed to his character instead of being overwhelming. I can see where there could be another one sometime in the future vectoring from this one. I enjoyed!

    better than Bond

I saw the first English, and it was pretty good -
This 'Reborn' sequel, was better -
The laughter was comfortable, from the belly and sometimes surprised -
You should see this movie -
Rowan Atkinson always delivers a solid comedy -
The story-line was more believable than the first movie -
There wasn't any blood and guts or 'F' everything, so no one can be offended

    Rowan still got it!!

    by otasam

As usual, Rowan Aktinson is absolutey hilarious. From his dialouge to the physical comedy stunts/pranks, he nails it every time. This movie, as well as the many others he has done, is a definite fun time for the whole family.

Is it worth your $11.00?? That's something only you can decide. For me, yes...it was worth it because I enjoyed it very much.

    Enjoy if you go.

    Johnny English Reborn

Really enjoyed it. Haven't laughed that hard in a long time at a movie. It's definitely not the kind of humor some people like, but it was right up our alley.

    For Rowan Atkinson fans only!

If you are ... you will love this romp. Mr. Bean has returned as 007, Johnny English style, and he is his funny, endearing, rubber-legged self. Loved it!

Full disclosure: I'm already a big Atkinson fan

That being said, I really, really enjoyed this follow-up to the first Johnny English. The critics aren't glowing in their praise, but I have to say that I laughed much harder in Reborn than in the original, which I also enjoyed. So much harder. in fact, that I literally hurt my sides at some points in the film. These films aren't about plot or any other niceties - humor, slapstick and subtle both, is all that they offer, along with some moderate acting. On those fronts, Johnny delivers again, and if you go to see it for pure entertainment value, you won't be disappointed.

Movies in Review: "Johnny English Reborn"

Within the 1st 15min I wanted my money back, but that soon changed.Johnny English is one parody I think I can tolerate. I found the humor to be quite entertaining, and it was actually funny. My favorite scene was the first chase scene. I loved how the music played such an important role in the way the viewing audience saw it. The whole scene to the end was hilarious. Johnny and Agent Tucker partnered perfectly. Agent Tucker held his own, and did not fall in the shadow of English. I liked the story for the most part, except for the old Asian woman. That part of the story played out fairly quickly, and was no longer funny after the 2nd meeting.Overall it was cool. The teenagers in the audience loved it, but I think adults will find it funny too. If you need a laugh you may not feel bad for seeing this at a matinee…B Follow me @TajuanaG

Now I want to see the original Johnny English film!

    by

This is Rowan Atkinson at this best. He combines an ability to deliver verbal and physical humor which seems to be a particular paart of his films and shorts. His errors are hilarious though somewhat painful for the characters. His villians range from despicable to "now who would have thought he/she...!The film is well directed and restrained so as not to go over the top with physical humor as can sometimes occur in this type of film. MI7 is a great parody of past films with super secret government agencies. The parallels with the Bond films are great when you add the humor. I would defenity suggest this movie to a friend or enemy for that matter. Now on to find the first film!

    It's Johnny English

    by ZipZing

Okay - not as good as the first one - and I miss Biff - but still funny. Could have made due with waiting until it was out on DVD but as a Mr. Bean fan I had to see it at the theater.

    Johnny English Reborn

Saw it with my 10 yr. old son. As far as he is concerned Johnny English can do no wrong. Awesome was his opinion of it. As far for me, well the first one had more charm but this one has more action. Sequels tend to not live up to the hype, that said Reborn had a lot of funny moments. If your little one is a die hard Johnny English fan then I suggest you enjoy it with them for the end result which in my case was a beaming smile on my son's face.
