    An emotional experience

The opportunity to see this concert film on the big screen was amazing. The energy that JM and JM3 exuded seemed to envelop the entire theater. You could sense the trance-like state the artists were in while the music poured from within. JM has definately refined his craft and brought his talent to the next level. The blues set was particulaly emotional--I felt as though I was being dragged through the depths of his heartache...I definately left the theater a changed fan. This perfomance leaves no room for doubt about the caliber of talent this young perfomer has, and I hope that he remains true to himself...I would hate to see another young star burn out too quickly.

    John Mayer concert

    by mld777

If you love John Mayer and have been to any of his concerts (but couldn't get in the front rows!) you will NOT be disappointed in the concert in the theatre setting. We were even doing a little cheering in the theatre. Diehards I guess you could say! It was the best! Much more sustained camera focus on John & his guitar than you can see in his concerts. I We just happenchance to see the upcoming concert on Fandango 2 days before showing and immediately reserved tickets...too bad there was no promotion!!!! ??

If it were still in the theatres I would be going back a couple times more for sure. I'm 52 & my daughter is 26...we have been to John Mayer's 2 concerts in the Twin Cities...and we loved it in the theatre.

    Great Concert

Was not a real fan of John Mayer before, but this concert changed my mind. He is much more talented than I previously believed. Too bad it was shown only one night here. Don't miss it!

    Brilliant

John Mayer delivered the three faces that Mr. Mayer holds in his arsenal. Starting with the calm sensitive side playing by himself and his acoustic guitar he holds it down and melts the hearts of every woman in the audience. Next was my personal favorite, The Trio. Covering Hendrix and anything blues in between he melts faces with his ridiculous guitar solos. But still cools you down with gut wrenching bluesy voice that most did not see coming if they weren't familiar with the trio. Lastly he comes out as John Mayer the hit maker. Full band complete with horns, keys, two guitars and percussions. just making it rain with the classic "Gravity" bringing the house down. Only thing better is being there live. Overall it was great Mayer being a dying breed of true musicians that can take the pop world as well as the purists heart.
