    One of my top 3 films.

    Jaws is not about a killer shark. Rather, "[Jaws is] really about a guy who is sort of dealing with his place in the world ? his masculinity, with his family, how he?s gonna, you know, make it work in this new town." JJ Abrams. Though Jaws is not kid friendly, this is not your average "killer animal" film. Great characters. Depth. Humor. Thrills. Adventure.

    And that's just the first half of the movie! The entire second half of the film takes place exculsively at sea exploring the dynamic between the 3 heroes. And it works so well. Brody the amateur, Hooper the scientist and Quint the salty sea-dog.

    Jaws brings us some of the greatest moments in the history of cinema. A must see. One of my favorite movies. Maybe even my favorite movie.

    Wunderkind Speilberg Hits the Big Time

    John Williams's unforgettable score and Spielberg's clever mounting of suspense recall the best of Hitchcock, and Scheider, Dreyfuss and Shaw make up an unlikely but appealing trio of protagonists. What "Psycho" did for the shower, "Jaws" does for the ocean. Be sure to get the new 30th Anniversary edition- the movie looks flawless.

    The greatest movie of all time...

    ...was showing at a theater near me for one night only. How could I pass that up! Still scary, still funny, still awesome. What a treat to see this on the big screen for the first time in over thirty years. Excellent!!!

    Amazing Upgrade

    The colors were bold and the blood was red! I took my daughter to see it and we both had a great time. The only issue I had was that it looked so clear that I'm not sure the PG rating still applies. The first victim's breasts are clearly visible and during the underwater shot, it almost seemed like we were seeing full frontal nudity. Not an issue for me but I remembered it being masked by the darkness of the original and didn't even try to shield my kid's view. No biggie. Still an amazing flick.

    Jaws Revisited 2012

    Great to see a classic from 1975 on the big screen with a remastered pictured and sound. I saw this when I was 8 and it was nice to bring my 15 year old daughter and 5 year old son for this. They both enjoyed it. It was a one night only deal from cinemark and they have more schedule classics for the future. If all the classics are remastered with beautiful picture and excellent sound its worth it to go back to the big screen.
