Fun movie to watch with lots of action and great scenery. Nick Hoult is great as Jack. Ewan MacGregor is cool as usual. Must see film for the whole family.

Great graphics with the giants and the beanstalk(s). A good job was done in completing the story. I was a bit disapponted there was no goose laying the golden egg as the fable storyline's original is told. The acting was quite good. I would not take my child under 10 years old to see this film - quite graphic with the giants.

Jack the Gian Slayer ( aka. Jack and the bean stalk) is one of my favorite childhood fairytale. I am glad they made this into a movie. This movie is entertaining and action filled movie. People made comments about the Giant CGI, well, it wasnt terrible and wasnt excellent either, more like average. They made true ( as much as possible) to the fairy tale story. The harp however was not utilized in the movie just being shown a few times. Parents and kids will love this movie. I am not giving it away to those people who havent seen it. Will I buy this on bluray? Certainly. enjoy!

THE MOVIE IT SELF WAS OK. GOOD SPECIAL EFFECTS, IT MORE OR LESS STUCK TO STORY LINE. MAIN CHARATER WAS A LITTLE LAME. COULD HAVE SEEN MORE ACTION. IF HOOLYWOOD IS GOING TO MAKE FAIRY TAILS INTO FULL LENGHT MOTOION PICTURE, THEY SHOULD STICK TO THE STORY LIKE IN HARRY POTTER SERIES. OR LIKE WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO STAR WARS CONTINUE THE STORY LINE. THEN THEY SHOULD HAVE ONE EPISODE RUN INTO THE NEXT. OR CREATE A TIME LINE LIKE IN STARWARS 1-3. KWH VIEWED JACK GIANT SLAYER 3/1 10PM

Does Jack the Giantslayer add anything to cinema history? No, not at all. It is a fantasy story, much like most fantasy stories, where a hero has to overcome odds, shortcomings, and any other issues to defeat some overwhelming foe. You've seen it in countless movies. Does Jack do it differently? No. But what it does do is have fun. If you're the type who needs a new cinematic experience every time you see a film, you probably won't see this anyway. If you like fantasy films, you need to see this. 5 stars, A, 10/10, whatever amazing rating you want, i give it.
