Jack the Giant Slayer

My daughter loved it, although she hid her face a few times during a few somewhat gorey scenes. Its full of action for sure! Kids 10 and over are a GO any younger and it might be too much violence. I thought it was an ok flick. The previews do it justice so if they look interesting to you, then you will like it. If not,... don't bother.

Very pleased with movie, kept me intertained throughout picture. Had good flow of humor, romance, suspense and seat jerking special effects. Will be a movie for my collection at home.

for me because I forgot Ewan was in it and I think Jack is the About A Boy boy? I laughed, clapped, cheered, cried; it was a lot of fun!

At least the popcorn was ok. The movie - expensive, yet poorly produced CG around. Costumes - looked like the kids at the K1-12 produced them, the actors - must have been the parents of the costume production kids. Wait for it on Netflix - the Saturday evening I went - the theatre was empty. It won't live long on the big screen - thankfully.

Slow week for movies, Giantslayer is slow as well

My husband enjoyed the movie. I thought the leading lady was way too old for the hero and no chemistry. The 3D special effects weren't anything special. I also thought it wasn't appropriate for children. The two headed giant seemed rather distasteful. Yuck. Does Hollywood test drive any of these movies? There are lots of books out there with great plots. Surely, something better has to come along to the theaters.
