Realistic CIA thriller

For the first time in a while, we have a CIA thriller that doesn't have the main character taking on and defeating an evil power all by himself. The plot was well-written to keep the action going and the viewer engaged through multiple peaks of action. Good movie for the spy enthusiast.

I liked this very much. An excellent reboot of Jack Ryan. I hope they can keep Chris Pine playing the part, as they evidently couldn't do with Baldwin. It was very exciting, edge of your seat.

Wait to rent it

Chris Pine and Keira Knightley have decent chemistry. Kevin Costner is stiff. Kenneth Branagh plays a good villain. There are just too many unexplained or "not possible" plot lines. The sequence of events seems choppy throughout the movie. The action scenes are well done. Wish we'd waited to rent it through RedBox.

So much info, too little time

The story was trying to tell so many things and they told it in too short of a movie. It made the story very choppy. Also, the American accent of Keira Knightley is so nasal...she was trying really hard, but didn't really buy it. Couldn't they have cast an American actress?
