I've been a Jack Reacher fan for several years. I think the movie with Tom Cruise captured the essence of the character and did a good job of presenting the novel, "One Shot." For Reacher fans, getting past the physical differences between Tom Cruise and the Lee Child character is the only stretch, so to speak, since Lee Child gave Jack Reacher a height of 6'5" and a strong build to go with it.
There was plenty of action, a plot that pulled the thinking fan into the movie and characters that were developed well enough to keep me engaged in the twists of the plot. In the season of so many releases, I think Jack Reacher is well worth seeing on the big screen.

I enjoyed the car chase and the shoot-outs between Reacher and an old marine vs. the bad guys. There's also a lot to be said for the premise that Reacher is a sort of Punisher making his way from one bad guy to the next, exacting justice and vengeance for the good guys. However, the story in this film is weak and the conversations are pointless, even when the investigation in moving along. This movie isn't for everyone, but there's some valuable junk here for the hardcore action fan.

The quotes on this trailer are merely stating exactly what you're looking for. This is a movie that has good suspense with a great story. The action is amazing and it leaves you with a satisfaction with each action scene. This was not only entertaining but I found it very comical and fun to watch. I watched it on a date and we both enjoyed it.

Well-done action yarn with a plot, tempo and acting that were all well done. Cruise still effective as a good-guy badaz. Watching that *****in Chevelle get banged up in the filming of the chase scene was a little tough to take. Overall good balance of drama, action, suspense and humor. Got my money's worth.
