A lovelorn industrialist and a chatty young woman embark on a tender journey across India, finding true love along the way in director Imtiaz Ali's musical romantic comedy. Heartbroken over the fact that the love of his life has just married another man, Aditya (Shahid Kapur) slips quietly out of their wedding reception, and catches the first train he sees. Once aboard, Aditya meets Geet (Kareena Kapoor), a ravishing beauty with a mouth that won't stop. Geet is on her way to Punjab, where she plans to elope with her boyfriend. But as easy as Geet is on the eyes, she's equally grating on the ears, and at the first opportunity, Aditya attempts a hasty departure at the next station. But in trying to coax him back onboard, Geet becomes distracted and the train rolls on without her.
