In the wake of the collapse of the "Iron Curtain," all sorts of long-term and immediate consequences followed. This drama joins a group of Hungarians who have decided on the spur of the moment to take a trip to Vienna -- something they could never have done before. The owner of the car intends to use the trip as a means for converting some black-market currency into a more useful form. In particular, he wants to return to Hungary with a VCR and television. However, he and his pals run into a swarm of other Hungarians out on similar missions and wind up being gypped, hornswoggled, and generally humiliated before sneaking past the border guards back into their own country minus the car, their savings, and their pride. ~ Clarke Fountain, Rovi
