This third installment of the Iron Man series continues to hold the bar high! Can't say it's the best one I've seen, but it is still very entertaining and gets two big thumbs up!

Iron Man 3

Overall, movie was very good. Favorite bits involved seeing the suit mold itself around people - repeatedly, Tony's interaction with the kid, even if it was a little callous at times and Tony's humanity. We took our two daughters, age almost-11 and 9; the elder wasn't sure she'd be able to handle the violence - the more realistic it is, the scarier it is to her, but completely sci-fi violence (ie Star Trek reboot, Avengers) is totally fine. Both kids were fine. YMMV - there IS some light swearing, if that sort of thing bothers you, and not every kid will be able to handle the intense action. Frankly, even as an adult, I thought the glowy-red eyes and fiery skin of the Bad Guys was kind of creepy, but that's me. There's a lot of great humor, though, and my kids laughed as much as everyone else. We all came away from the movie happy. The first Iron Man is still my favorite, but this was still great fun. And definitely stay through the full credits to see the bonus scene

The action scenes are exciting, the acting is respectable, there are plenty of comic moments, and the plot has a twist that you won't see coming but will quickly appreciate. Not better than the first Iron Man but definitely on par, which means it's one of the best of the Marvel superhero movies. And as others have pointed out, it's nice to cheer for someone whose superpower is being really smart and creative, rather than a human who is an accidental recipient of some freak power or a demi-god from another world or dimension.

Good but....

Over all a good movie. However, my first impression was that it lacked something.....it was slower than I expected. I am a huge Iron Man fan and this one let me down a little. It lacked that Iron Man edge that I have become accustomed. I think Happy maybe should have directed this one as well.

I heard it was the best of the three. It's not that I didn't like it, but it wasn't the best. The last 30 minutes were the best. And I liked when Pepper was kickin butt. I think the movie could've done with out the cussing though, especially since they were quite strong words.
