NOT A MUST GO -- Three movies later, we still find ourselves chasing the dragon, trying to find something as tight and engrossing as that first outing.....I'll always remember Iron Man 1 as my favorite modern superhero story. #3 movie is a loose framework on which to hang a few jokes and moments that we’re told are emotional. What was once a simple, straightforward story in the first Iron Man has become so laden with baggage that it utterly loses sight of itself. Tony Stark monologizes in a climactic scene:
“You start with something pure, something exciting. Then come the mistakes, the compromises.”

Iron Man 3 continues where The Avengers were left off. The pacing of the movie was great, didn't drag at all which is a blessing for a comic-book adaptation. Excellent cast; they made me believe they were the characters. Well, except for one or two... Fantastic action sequences! Honestly, those scenes were meant to be seen on the IMAX screen!

I was so looking forward to Iron Man 3, and it was a good movie, but not necessarily great. I'm glad we saw it Imax, but I thought the storyline wasn't as good as the previous two. It was a little over the top at the end of the movie.

The visual effects are amazing. However, the story line, boring. And in my opinion, they made a mockery of The Mandarin! Iron Man's greatest enemy!

Not only does this serve as a great bookend to the Iron Man trilogy, but it also doubles as Avengers 1.5. Some plot holes and a lack of character development keep this from being a great film while great banter from Robert Downey Jr and awesome action makes it a great Marvel flick.
