I just got back from seeing Iron man 2 and I was not disappointed. First I want to say that I am a huge fan of the Marvel comics universe, I grew up on those characters. Some of the movies they have made have been disappointing (Daredevil,Elektra,Ghost Rider) but this is NOT one of them. It continues the story of Tony Stark(Robert Downey Jr) as Iron Man, and him dealing with the issue of going public with his secret and the effects that the armor is having on his body. Mickey Roarke as Whiplash was very believeable, as well as Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer playing Tony's rival weapons manufacturer. Everyone else in the cast was good, the returning characters, such as Pepper, Happy, Nick Fury, but the one new comer I wanted to see more of in action was Scarlett Johansen as Black Widow. Also it was kind of strange seeing Don Cheadle in the War Machine armor after Terrence Howard played him in the first film. Stay past the credits for a extra bit of info for the next film: THOR! Must see!

Once again a sequel fails to out do the original. The movie felt as if it was building up to a great climatic conflict. This great climatic conflict fell short of my expectations. The action was fast and the explosions visually impressive, the humor and jokes a bit over played. Mr. Rourke has found his calling as a villain. His look and make up was fantastic. I wish they had more scenes with him, he truly stole the scenes he was in. As for Robert Downey Jr's character he ran around like Dudley Moore in Arthur 2 On the Rocks in a drunken stupor flying around in an Iron suit.

I lOVE IT! Mainly because of the love story that evolved. I also loved the fact Iron Man just is, and that he isn't hiding trying to pretend to not have powers.,
Can't wait till the next one...

So much potential! Where did it all go? It was amazing to see how much time could be squandered on watching the retarded excesses of Tony Stark. Could we have a Story? Could we have a Plot? It wasen't even just fun enough to just let go and enjoy. Do yourelf a favor and rent it - later, much later, after a few drinks. You won't remember this lame duck anyway.

This was a great sequel, and saying that is normally reserved for The Dark Knight or Spiderman 2 when it comes to comic book movies, it is rare when a sequel is as good or better than the first, but this did a hell of a job. I'll be going to see it again.
