83 out of 100 A fun blockbuster that entertains the audience in every way. It's action-packed, funny and thrilling. Even though it's less high-stakes than the previous it still magic mover with the avenging conclusion. It's just a sensational blockbuster.

Iron Man 2 was a great movie. The all-star cast that fills Iron Man 2 does a great job at their roles. Also with the comedy that is always brought by Downey Jr., it makes this movie all the more enjoyable. Although, I do not think Iron Man 2 surpasses Iron Man one, but its not this movie's fault. Only reasons it cannot surpass Iron Man, was because it was the first one and we all loved watching something that was new to us then. Now that this is the second one, that surprise of what was new to us then is old to us now. ANYWAY, Iron Man 2 is just as GREAT as Iron Man 2 was. It had a lot of action packed greatness, and the story was great as well. The villain in the movie was very cool and enjoyable to watch as well. If anyone passes up on seeing this movie, they would be making a grave mistake. ANYONE will enjoy this one. Its just that good of an summer blockbuster action flick.
GREAT MOVIE, go see it!

75 out of 100 An exceptional sequel with not so spectacular elements as the first one but still delivers lots of action, fun and another good build-up to the Avengers.

It's rare to say that a sequel is better than the original, but Iron Man 2 improves on the original in just about every way.
The plot is superb. We know who Tony Stark is and here we get to see a more vulnerable side to him, as we learn early on that something is wrong with him. The main villain in this film is much more menacing and believable, and is played brilliantly by Mickey Rourke. Another villain is Sam Rockwell playing Justin Hammer, a twisted version of Tony Stark. There's also Scarlett Johansson as the quirky yet likable Natalie Rushman (who has a secret of her own).
My only complaint is the film feels rushed at times, and that major problems were solved too easily. Also, the humor got a bit too silly sometimes.
If you're avoiding this because they replaced Terrence Howard with Don Cheadle, don't. Cheadle nearly steals the entire movie; he's that good. And then of course there's Gwyneth, who has a much more prominent role. Altogether, it's a great film and a great cast.

The movie keeps the light hearted fun tone established in #1 and adds some great new characters to the bunch. Favreau is able to once again create great chemistry among the actors that makes you feel like it would be a blast just to listen to the table reads. Downey is again brilliant as Stark copping with with his new superhero celebrity while also dealing with the after effects of having Palladium in your chest, Tony is slowly dying. This culminates in a hilarious party scene. Rourke makes for a great villain, and Cheadle does a fine job stepping in for Howard(not sure which is better), the best addition though is Rockwell who gives a great performance as a true Tony Stark wannabe. Favreau is hilarious as Happy Hogan this time round. Johansson is as sexy as ever as Natasha, and Jackson as Nick Fury feel like essential pieces to the movie instead of just fulfilling fans wants. Overall it's great, delivers even more of what we loved from #1 while upping the stakes (War Machine!).
