Horror Terror Fear

Oh Betty....I lost track of how many cold tingling chills that had ripped throughout my body. Nice to feel an impact of horror and shear terror without the need of excessive blood or guts. Masterfully done. I love this movie. I gotta figure out who the heck this director was, IMDb time. Freaking Great movie. There were some things that could have been better, but so what, it was still awesome. Pay attention to each scene because there are things in the background that will haunt you. Patrick Wilson is great at playing the average guy and Rose Byrne is so hot. If you see it or can recognize it, the film does pay homage to Poltergeist which is one of my favorite films.

impressive

insidious was a pg13 horror movie that i was more interested in watching with my friends than actually paying much mind to. i figured it would be a cheap tricks flick that was cut clean enough to allow teens to buy tickets to a horror movie. I was very impressed though once the lights went down. it held its own and established a name for itself in my mind before movie was over. it also respectfully paying homage to many classic horror films from poltergeist, exorcist, hitchcock films, to even more modern ones like paranormal activity. towards the end i think it did become a tad predictable and certain elements should have been left more to the imagination which would have kept the suspense level higher, but it still managed to keep me on edge till even after the credits were done rolling. at least this movie was worth criticizing though. if you like horror films then i highly recommend giving this a try especially now when a good scare is hard to come by.

INSIDIOUS RULED

Just saw it. I enjoy very few horror movies. Insidious now joins my list of favorites: The Others and Mothman Prophecies. Different styles but all very special in themselves.

Scared the sh*t outta me!

Yes this movie was scary! It had a lot of great jump out of ur seat moments. Yes some of the scenes looked cheap, i bet with a bigger budget this movie could have been better but it did its job of freaking u out. I liked the storyline and the actors as well.

I am a real fanatic when it comes to paranormal movies. I REALLY wanted to see this in the theater but missed my chance so I rented the DVD. I'm glad I did. I really wasn't impressed with this movie, sure there were some scary parts and the story line was different since no other paranormal movie has followed this particular story line, but to me the movie went on and on and on. After a while I was able to predict what was going to happen next and to me it got a little boring. I REALLY wanted to like this movie but I couldn't. The only thing I thought interesting was the unusual story line.

Insidious is an exciting movie.The movie is about a boy who's in a comma and he is trap.The exciting parts are non stopping.You got to keep your eyes peel.This movie is very good for people who likes scary movie.It's a low budget movie!You might think low budget movie aren't good but this one is pretty good!I suggest you to watch it!

Great horror flick

This was a real awesome horror flick, for the first time i can say that attempts at a neo-retro paranormal film worked out. The directing and scenes are designed to match those of classic 80's ghost/horror movies. The plot was cool yet slightly far fetched but i still liked it. It was extraordinarily creepy, and coming from a HUGE horror fan that means a lot; yup it gave me chills. It may be pg-13 but its way better than that Paranormal Activity crap.

A different twist on the haunted house story...

...kept me awake,gave me a couple of scares-as well as the obligatory laughs these movies seem to generate-and was better than either of the P.As. I recommend it if you like scary,and aren't looking to find fault. No unnecessary gore or r-rated material. I jumped at the end....

I really enjoyed this movie. This is one of the best I have seen in a while. It made me jump several times and kept me guessing about what would happen next. I think horror movie fans will like it.

A Fun Ride

Insidious is one of those special movies that pays homage to old classics but also brings something new to the table. James Wan and writer Leigh Whannell add another title to their already awesome resumes. See this movie if you enjoyed "poltergeist" and "paranormal activity". Even though the use of home cameras isn't used, the constant sense of dread and anticipation is.
