This movie was AWFUL! I gave up a free movie ticket to see this pile of garbage?? I was so hyped-up about this film and after it was over, I was COMPLETELY disappointed! It was NO where near as scary or creepy as the first one, and the main evil character was a joke! SAVE YOUR MONEY!! Wait for DVD!!

Most of the time I feel like sequels don't do the original movie justice. Insidious 2 is AMAZING!!! I want to say it is better than the first, but if you haven't seen the first Insidiuos then you can't fully understand the second. It was an edge of your seat, on your toes, curl up with your significant other and hold on tight!!!!!!!!! I loved it and anyone that loves a good ghost story needs to check this one series out!!!

So for however liked the first one, your gonna love the sequel. It is more intense. There is a lot of "oh ****" moments. At first I didn't understand how they was making a sequel with how the way the first one ended but they tided the two so perfectly. I say its a must see in theatre.

When Hollywood does a follow-up movie it would turn out better if it isn't such a close copy of the original movie. This practice gives me the impression that someone is trying to keep costs down and rake in more money without any concern for quality in the finished product.

I was really looking forward to seeing what James Wan would pull out in Insidious: Chapter 2. The first one was incredibly good for the budget that was set for the film, and it was surprisingly scary. The second time around, most everything that happens in just same-old same-old. More astral projection, more (and much more predictable) jump-scares, and a lot less tension overall. The thing that got me in the first Insidious is that you had no idea when something creepy would happen. In Chapter 2, everything is predictable, and every time you expect something bizarre to happen, it does. There are a few good twists and it integrates extremely well with the original, but unfortunately it just isn't live up to the expectations I (or many others) had.
If you're a huge fan of the first Insidious like I am, go see this one just for how well it fleshes out the plot. But if you're raring for a really frightening, can't-sleep-at-night flick, check out The Conjuring
