I must admit that I watched this movie after already seeing Another Day, Another time (on Showtime). The Coen bros always introduce me to new music that I fall in love with.
I highly reccomed buying the soundtrack!! Listened for a week before watching the film
If you have ever been a musician you will relate to this movie.
Outstanding acting, singing, and playing by Oscar I.
those who do not undersstand this movie... There is a reason

Very disappointing. Didn't get it. Nothing appealing, or enlightening, about a man who cannot get out of his own way and keeps making the same mistakes over and over again.

If you want to see a movie where despair and self desruction are the lead character's attributes, then you may listen to the critics. Llewyn Davis is a folk singer with no redeeming qualites, someone you wouldn't invite for dinner. The film is desolate, slow, and humorless. It looks like the Coen Brothers went into a historical funk. After Llewyn runs over a bleeding cat and leaves him for dead, I think Peta would give this movie a thumbs down.

Inside Llewyn Davis had potential to be so much more. While the sets, scenes, costumes for the period piece were enthralling and the good acting can't be denied, the characters and plot were empty and depressing and left me empty and depressed, after watching it. If that is what Joel and Ethan Coen were after in writing and directing this story, they certainly achieved their goal. It is a depressing trip to nowhere with a group of sad misfits, that made me want to throw myself off a bridge and put myself out of the misery of their company and that life. Be warned: Do Not Take a Date, or it may be an early evening!

It was slow, and pointless. A boring story and boring music. Nicely filmed, but that is about it. I would have walked out if I wasn't sitting in the middle of the aisle.
