Llewyn Davis is the Answer, my friend.

The best Cohen Brothers movie since "O Brother…", the Siblings from Minnesota once again manage to catapult us back through time to the strange days just before Dylan gave us all a new perspective. To an era between the wholesomeness of the burgeoning Folk Scene and the Beatniks who were thriving on junk and speed. With a knock-out performance by Oscar Isaac who not only embodies the life a young struggling artist, but also managed to sing and play convincingly. With a star packed supporting cast including the stalwart John Goodman, "Inside Llewyn Davis" waxes nostalgic and delivers a crispy, clear moment in time, forever preserved by the Cohen Brothers seemingly limitless imaginations.

I found that despite great expectations, and very strong acting, the story lacked any arc....i couldnt conceive of any true beginning, middle or end...just the glum persistence of the main characters life...by the end, i really didnt care. To be honest, I couldnt believe it was over...my friend and i looked at each other and said -- that's it? that qualifies as a movie?

Still wondering...what's Inside Llewyn Davis....

Clearly this is a love or not love movie...the Village wasn't gritty enough for me, and the tortured musician was a little too well groomed. The Coen Brothers usually bring on more, and I didn't get it this time.

There is absolutely nothing interesting in this movie. No story at all. Just random goings on in the life of a miserable loser. It's painful to watch, and difficult to understand.
