    Ink Heart

I didn't like the movie. I read the book and they practically rewrote the whole thing. There is hardly anything that is the same in the book. I think they could have done better.

?INKHEART? ? ?Silvertongue? Devils are hard to come by! = Rating: 7 of 10 stars (based on a Library screening of a DVD of it).

BRENDAN FRASER is Mo, husband of recently-disappeared Resa (SIENNA GUILLORY) & single father to his daughter Meggie (ELIZA HOPE BENNETT). In the past, he used to do a lot of reading aloud, being called ?Silvertongue?-- but stopped that because things were caused to HAPPEN by his reading aloud from books about them. He searches for a copy of a book called ?Inkheart? that created all the problems. He?s pursued by a shifty fellow named Dustfinger (PAUL BETTANY) & evil Capricorn (ANDY SERKIS) & his henchmen, who want to force him to read aloud things they WANT to come to pass (for their own personal agendas including becoming very powerful). His aunt Elinor (HELEN MIRREN) & a young shoplifter Farid (RAFI GAVRON) try to help him rescue his wife & recently-captured daughter (who some people think also may have his ?gift?). This chase fantasy has a bunch of special effects (mainly at the end), &, while it?s periodically slow & talky, it has a low-key charm to it all. Kids seemed to like it.

    Inkheart

I really enjoyed this movie. It was clean and fresh. It was family oriented and it was exciting and funny and yet dangerous. It did kind of remind me or Never Ending Story but it had some characteristics of it's own. It was enjoyable and yet tearful. I really liked it because even though it was a fiction it showed children that adults are not the only one that can be unique and save the day. I think everyone should see it. It is great enough to take a boyfriend, husband or child. I think it is a breath of fresh air from the partially nude women who look fake to bring fans to the show and they had no swearing to make anyone look tough and spooky. I think you can have fun and exciting movies without all the blood and guts and gore and violence. I really enjoyed it a lot. I think it should be a must see.
