The plane is essentially a stage for what turns out to be non-stop scenes of Almadovarean comedy, music, and hopelessly tragic, and overly melodramatic mini sequences. They flow well and there is no shortage of comic relief throughout, especially as characters have emotional breakdowns and chose to examine bizarre aspects of their lives. You can't take this movie too seriously, and it certainly doesn't take itself seriously. I just sat back and took it in and I was LOL very soon after it started.

I'm a Almodovar fan and was looking forward to seeing his latest offering. I read the synopsis and thought it would be very entertaining. I must warn anyone interested in this movie that it would be more to the point to summarize it as "Gay Cinema". If you like Gay cinema then you will be very entertained by this movie, it not then I highly advise a pass on this and wait for it on cable. I personally do not enjoy Gay cinema and was highly disappointed. This is really about 3 very gay airline attendants and their adventures on a plane that is trying to find an airport to land because the plane's landing gear are not operating properly. There is a gag where one of the attendants blows one of the pilots who is also gay and we see him emerge from the cockpit with semen on his lips. The other attendants see him and wipe the semen off and taste it. If this is the kind of humor you like, you will really enjoy this movie. I did not. I would rate this a C at best.

I couldn't stop laughing with this movie. Hilarious! A must see if you wanna lift up your mood. Good performances and funny situations from start to end. Typical Almodovar film!

Absolute mindless insanity! Bizzare and tasteless.... I don't even know what to call it, but hardly a film.
