IMMORTALS WAS RAWSOME!! -- new word I coined exclusively for this movie.
Having had sufficient time to recover from an altogether likely midnight movie delirium, I thought this movie was great. It's not Shakespeare, but if you want that then you should go see 'Anonymous'.
Mickey did an excellent job; I really hated him. Henry Cavill also did an excellent job; can't wait to see him as Superman. Freida Pinto was alluring as one of the Oracle Spice Girls. She pulled off that rare combination of sweet & sexy not seen since Sofia Vergara covered herself in honey and....sorry, I daydream sometimes.
The visuals were amazing! Don't know if they were true cinematography, CGI or both. I will be following Tarsem's directorial career -- just wish they had let him direct 'The Last Airbender', then it wouldn't have sucked.
This movie had some intense violence (and a butt double), which is clearly not suitable for younger eyes. With so much death, you'd think to call it 'Mortals'.

I mean that in a literal sense- this movie is extremely gory. That being said, the action is amazing, the cast is perfection, and I can't write this without mentioning Henry Cavill and his beautiful body. There's a lot of attractive half naked men in this movie, just saying. The mythology was a little off, but enough was right that I was in awe. The movie is rated R because of the violence, not the sex, so it's not very inappropriate. All in all, this was one of the best movies I've seen in a long while, and I plan on seeing it again. And perhaps again.

I truly enjoyed this movie. It is NOT for everyone. The blood and gore is extremely graphic and most of the confrontation scenes are highly intense. That being said, I found it an easy movie to follow. The plot is somewhat traditional, but I did not feel as if that detracted from the work. The actors, most of whom are relatively unknown did an excellent job in their portrayals of mythical beings. Mickey Rourke was the Perfect Hyperion. And John Hurt (I thought he was dead) played his part to perfection. Do no see this movie if the sight of blood and gore disturbs you. However, if you relish an old fashioned blood and gore western set in mythical times, this is a true movie of the genre. As an added bonus, I saw it in 3-D, which many people do not like, but I find it lends a greater sense of realism to any production. It is rated R, and that is the absolutely true rating for this movie. No one under the age of 14 should be allowed near this film. The gore is too graphic.

Immortal is the best movie of the year so far, this movie is going to set the standard by which all super Heroes movies will be judged.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I think it was even better because I saw it in RPX at Haywood 20 in Greenville, SC. If you enjoyed movies like Gladiator, Troy and 300, you will definitely love this film. It had great action and fighting scenes with great picturesque cinematography.
