It was funny and cetainly gave me some laughs but I would not recomment bringing children as some of the scenes are very graphic and not for youngsters. I saw people there with kids and thought to myself that was not a very good idea. I have a friend that went to see it with her 12 year old daughter and she said she never should have taken her.

The film tries to mix comedy with crime and deviant sex and that, a good combination does not make... Hollywood tries too hard to appeal to too many audiences with this film. Either make a good comedy or a good hard core, gritty film. This movie just doesn't do either well.

Ok, I have to admit that I was actually looking forward to seeing this because both leads are hilarious and I've thoroughly enjoyed them in other movies. However, I don't know I wasn't really feeling their dynamic in this. While they both remained funny, together, for me atleast it didn't work. I did laugh however at bits during the movie and afterwards was even a little sympathetic towards McCarthy's character. I would recommend that you ask your friends who've already seen it for their opinions before you go, just because I'd assume you would all have similar senses of humor. I didn't think it was a universally funny movie like these two are known for making.

Melissa McCarthy was great in Bridesmaids and she brings the same character to this movie. Unfortunately the gags that worked in a brief scene don't make for an hour and a half film. She's simply vulgar, un attractive in personality, and its hard to find the pushed upon sympathy the film tried for at the end. Supporting cast is great and Jason Bateman makes any film worth seeing. I tried to like this movie but it simply wasn't funny: it was vulgar. A decent Redbox rent but I'm disappointed we spent money to see this at the theater.

My girlfriend is a big Melissa McCarthy fan and I've loved Jason Bateman's comedic skills forever. This movie was NO disappointment!
First, I loved the way they used a woman to steal a man's identity based on his first name.
Second, there were some wonderful lines (thank-you, writers!). Jason's "I'm just a decent guy" naiveté played well, especially when he mentioned his sock money.
I suffer with Systemic Lupus and severe Fibromyalgia, and both times when Melissa used the Fibro as an excuse/distraction, I laughed so hard I nearly came out of my seat. "Ow! My Fibromyalgia! It's going right down my back!" LOL. This worked comedically, because the illness doesn't hit you that way.
Finally, this story and the characters had a fantastic arc. Near the end, they both realised something crucial about themselves and the other, so the ending was very sweet. But you don't see the final comedy coming at all. GO SEE IT! The theatre was roaring. You won't be sorry.
