How to Train Your Dragon Review

As an animation student, we are taught to trust and believe in our story and characters more than anything else. DreamWorks Animation has long been known for putting stunning visuals on the screen but not great stories. "How to Train Your Dragon" is a visual and creative masterpiece by DreamWorks that shows they know how to believe in a story and character. It has a story and characters that you just fall in love with as well as visuals that rival those in "Avatar". The film is a simple story of a boy viking who gets his first pet who happens to be a dragon. Anyone who remembers getting their first puppy can relate to this story. How to Train Your Dragon is often intense at times which might be a little much for younger kids, but is an overwhelming display of animation, effects and 3D. It is a film that you must see over and over. If you are looking for a fun, feel good, and happy movie, How to Train Your Dragon is just the one. I give it a must go and 2 thumbs up!
