    How to Train Your Dragon

This is a warm, rewarding, and exciting movie both emotionally and visually, suitable for the entire family, and especially grownups who still have a sense of awe and wonder. The 3D version was a revelation: it draws the viewer in, but doesn't shout "This is 3d!" at you constantly. The technology is used appropriately, and well. Loved the dragon (echoes of Stitch), the story, characters, setting, and plot. The clouds were awesome. The Viking boats looked as though they'd been filmed, not created. I was very, very glad I saw it in both 3D and regular versions. It was totally worth the ticket price both ways.

    Toothless

How to train your dragon was gripping, emotional, and cute. Toothless and Hiccup make one great team in a movie. I rate it as a must go, coming from a 20 year old.

    GREAT MOVIE for Kids

This was a fantastic movie that had all three kids (4, 9, and 11) wanting more. Nice moral to the story. Not sure why the Vikings all had Scottish accents--a little weird, but well worth seeing in 3D!

Family fun for kids 5 to 85

Finally, a "kids" movie that really is for kids. It's "clean" and smart. No **** needed to keep interest going. Much sarcasm and adult-oriented jokes were omitted so that the little ones could get it (unlike KungFu Panda for example). A melange between the Horsewhisperer and Avatar in a strange way. The one thing I did not care for were Vikings speaking in a Scottish brogue. Why? The Norwegian accent isn't that hard to do, and it's as "clear" as a Scottish one... Once I was able to look past (or listen past) the mistaken accents, I truly enjoyed it, and my 5 year-old did too. I'd definitely pay extra for the 3-D. Very cool flying scenes. To sensitive adults as myself: carry Exedrin with you to pop one after the film...very visually intense!

Best Kids Movie in a Long Time!!

The movie was great!! We watched it in 3D, which was a major plus! Felt as though we could reach right out and touch the dragons!! If your not planning on watching 3D, I'm 100% positive, you will still love the movie!! I believe this movie is appropriate for all age groups! Kids love it and so do the adults!! Our 4 and 5 year olds just adored it!!
