    Excellent Movie!

     by  MustBeIMAX

Hello, this is MustBeIMAX here with a review of How to Lose Friends & Alienate People starring Simon Pegg. Simon Pegg plays Sidney Young, an aspiring journalist who is hired by Sharps Magazine to come to America to work for them. However, it's not what Sidney expected. It's a great movie. I loved it. It wasn't as funny as some of Simon's other movies, but that doesn't mean it's not as good as the others. It was better than Run Fatboy Run, which I loved. I would definetly recommend How to Lose Friends and Alienate People to any fan of Simon Pegg or of British humor. This is MustBeIMAX and I'll see you later.

    You Have Been Warned

     by  viperwolf

This was probably the worst movie I have seen this year. I do not see movies very often and I am sorry that I wasted my money on this one.(At least it was a matinée.) There was only a couple of funny parts in it, and it felt overly long. The rest of the movie was full of terrible jokes that are not even funny because they are terrible.

The Funniest Parts Were In The Previews

     by  modnik

I'd have to say that it was light entertainment that wouldn't offend anyone but I did expect it to be funnier than it was. Wait for the DVD.

How to Lose Fans and Alienate Moviegoers ...

     by  moviegoer_rob

With its problematic title, this movie really needs to be hilarious, and it just isn't.

It's one of those flicks that couldn't quite decide what kind of movie it wanted to be. It has some scattered good moments in different directions, from zanily comical to satirical to good-vs.-evil to charmingly romantic. But it doesn't commit to any of these potential themes consistently or wholeheartedly enough.

However, when you're a loyal fan of an actor or actress--as I am of Kirsten Dunst--you enjoy seeing their work even in movies that are disappointing overall. She's charming and touching as Alison, and her performance helps save this movie from being terrible, but it can't overcome the disjointed, often aimless script and direction enough to make it a truly good movie.

Hey, for me, just the scene with Dunst dancing in her pajamas (with Simon Pegg) was worth the price of admission. But as evidenced by HLF&AP's dreadful box-office performance, many moviegoers felt otherwise.

    Go and see it!!

     by  Jaid

Definately a movie worth seeing. Dunst and Pegg have surprisingly good chemistry, and most of the cast is strong. It is a bit of a cringer at some bits, but not as bad as it could have been. The ending might be a little predictable but it still leaves you with a good feeling. A surprisingly cute movie, especially considering the premise.

I have to admit that the most painful part about this movie was Megan Fox's character (nothing against her personally, since this is the first part I've seen her in), and the fake Mother Theresa trailer that constantly played throughout. It was like a joke that had been taken way too seriously.
