i know most people below are like "maybe I'll go" i don't no about them, but i Love scary movies! its not that scary but its enough to make my grandma jump out of her skin. its more of a movie that will make you go either "Oh my god!" or "that's.....just... WOW!" i would give it a 4 1/2 starts because of the whole shaky camera thing. i recommend it for ages 13-40. i say only 40 because my grandma almost had a heart attack! I liked the movie over all! so yea... you should go!

Great story line, but not so much suspense. Actors were good, but wait till Redbox. It seems like they were promoting her singing rather than the story.

Horror?

Horror? Hardly. We got a lot more laughs than scares out of this. Some of the best scary movies start with a trickling plot line but when the thrills and screams kick in they never stop. The only good scares I got were a spattering of shock factor screen flashes and loud noises. If you want a real scare, stick to something else!

Not the worst horror movie you will see, but it's watchable

This one took it's sweet time to get going. Once the girl and her really hot mom move into the house across the street from where a double homicide took place, we go through the lengthy process of getting to know the neighbors and the whole story of the house. Never saw the Hunger Games, probably won't because I'm no longer 17 but this girl Jennifer Lawrence is a decent actress and makes the movie okay. If your looking for special effects or anything supernatural look for something else. The kid who lives next door plays his part fairly well but just lacks the chops to make the story believable in any way. It was kind of entertaining to see annoying neighbors, the "cool" kids in high school and how they operate these days, and does this girl really sing or is that someone else? So if your in your teens or 20's you will probably like this one but if your above 30 you may find yourself going to get some popcorn and be unable to find your way back into the theatre.
