The house at the ens of the street

It must be me, because I jumped out of my skin several times. I wonder sometimes, if I am watching the same movie as everybody else when I read reviews from people who recommend not seeing something until it comes out on dvd. This was better in a dark theater, on a big screen, with good sound. I liked it.

    Great Thriller

Can't believe the poor reviews - this was an exciting movie. It was a mind twister with all the puzzle pieces coming together. Some very scary parts!! It is well worth the ticket, sit back and enjoy a very good movie.

    HATES

Overall, a pretty good movie. Not really scary, but more of a thriller. It will keep you guessing most of the time. Ending definitley has a twist you won't expect! The acting is good from everyone. Although it was a good movie, it is not one I would say you must run out now and see it, but I would defintley recommend you see it at some point!

A By The Numbers Formula Thriller.

Nothing new here but the movie's still worth a ticket. The entire production, play, talent, audio and video are mainstream average, as films go. There are plenty of conflicts, lots of resolutions, basically, it's a play in three acts. Thats what makes it a formulaic thriller. Not much else to say. See it. You won't be disappointed.

I found it to be a good movie, I like horror and suspense in it. The way it is presented was really good. Story was good and perfect to watch. It was thrill and suspense.

House at the End of the Street

The Movie is just OK. It is worth seeing if you dont have anything else you want to see.
The story seems it has been done before and the acting is pretty good.
PG 13 is a good rating for this movie

    It was okay.

    by

I knew the PG-13 rating would limit the scare factor in the film and it really did. It had a good plot and good acting. I think the blood and such was really toned down because of Jennifer's fan audience but it's good if you just want to see an entertaining movie to kill some time. It's a bit slow at first but i'll admit I wasn't really expecting that ending which I liked the surprise to it. I think it had a lot of potential but could have been better.

    Not What You Would Expect

I thought this was a haunting movie but it was much better. All of the actors were great, especially Jennifer Lawrence :D The end of the movie really pulls everything together and will leave you shocked.

    Redbox

    by

Great story line, but not so much suspense. Actors were good, but wait till Redbox. It seems like they were promoting her singing rather than the story.

    Twists and Turns

    by fyrwife

It's a fairly quick paced film that keeps you thinking thru the whole thing, and then some. You might walk out still wondering what really happened!? Enjoy!

    Go!

Despite what other reviewers are saying, this movie was great and I really enjoyed it. It is not one of those types of movies that will constantly and annoyingly make you jump out of your seat. It will surprise you and make you bite your nails (I'm guilty of it haha). Over all, I think it was well written and I like the ending... it's different from all the "scary" movies out there. Don't let the bad reviews discourage you from checking it out... I almost allowed the bad reviews to convince me to not watch it but decided to do so and I really liked it.

    Really slow and predictable

    by hknut

The previews were better than the movie. To review it without giving it away for those who want to see it, I will do my best. The story is slow, they spend almost the entire movie just setting relationships up, but there is no tension or anything to it. Just boring. The ending was predictable and I was glad it was over. My husband, who had a higher tolerance for slow and boring, thought the same thing I did. If you are looking for gore, this movie has none.

    Not worth seeing

The preview for this movie is better than the actual movie itself. I about fell asleep during it. Its not at all scary and not what you think its about either. Dont see it!

    Nice Mix

A friend and I took our 14 yr old daughters expecting a cheesy horror movie. It wasn't! This movie has humor and mystery, more of a thriller than horror. Yes, you could say some of it was expected, but other parts were a surprise which kept it interesting.

My favorite part was actually something that shouldn't have been there....a bug on Ryan's shoulder as he's talking. Look for it!

    I thought it was good!
