    Oscar-worthy performance by Dakota Fanning

"Hounddog" will be noted for years to come as the breakout role for Dakota Fanning as she transitions from child star to Oscar-worthy leading lady. While there are some rough edges to some aspects of this film, no one will deny the power of Fanning's performance and the depth and breadth of the subleties that she navigates with natural rhythm and convincing perfection. Go see "Hounddog" for this jaw-dropping turn by one of our most promising young actresses.

    A Beautiful Film

I loved this film and it gave me yet another reason to not take movie critics seriously. Ms Kampmeier treated a very serious and compelling theme in an intelligent and sensitive manner. The performances that she elicited from her actors were extraordinary. Oh, and let's not forget that she not only wrote and directed but she also produced the whole she-bang. She tells a story of innocence betrayed in this coming of age story set in the deep south. This is a sweet and meaningful film with a deeply spiritual humanity. I saw it at a press screening 3 weeks ago and I can't get it out of my mind. We need more story tellers like Ms. Kampmeier. Run to see this.

  • Oh No!

    Shocked!

When I saw that this starred Dakota Fanning and was about a little girl who loved Elvis I thought to myself this should be cute. I was wrong! By the time this movie was over I was disgusted with it. I can't believe a movie like this was even made. I strongly recommend passing up this title.
