A lot of people said this was just a Hostel remake, but with girls as the main characters. That is true though. The legacy of the Blood Hounds grew. There were updates and the film followed the first movie's events. The gore was great. The characters were flly fleshed out and relatable. The ending is perfect. A quality sequel that did not get much love.
With all due respect to Mr. Roth, Hostel is a really bad attempt at trying to be better than the saw franchise. And it obviously didn't work. This movie was bad. Whether it was the acting, the story, or the bad predictable twist ending, it was all just a mess. But the ending was a shocker. i'll give Hostel Part II some credit for having a cringe enducing ending.
u all heard tht hostel was a cool brutal torture film but th first one didnt show tht much of torture in it but in hostel part 2 they show real sik torture scenes but i stil think th first one is a litle betr cos it had bettr directin nd bettr action scenes but in hostel part 2 th last gurl didnt try to escape or fight bak she just ripped out th guys genitals out nd left th place nd looked for th gurl tht betrayed hr nd decapitated her in th end but in th first one th mexican dude fought bak nd tried his best to escape nd also had vengeance to th gurl tht betrayed him nd sum scenes in hostel part 2 r prety messed up but yea hostel part 2 is a litle more brutal nd an ok film ovrall
UNBELIEVABLE that this film only earned an R rating - it should have been lapped with at LEAST an NC-17. ( THE MPAA needs serious re-evaluation ) I truly didn't think ANYTHING or anyone for that matter could top the gore factor or human degredation in the first installment, but Mr. Roth has superceded even himself in GRAND GUIGNOL fashion without any true originality or flair. And it is a utter shame, because it's obvious he understandes the horror genre. The scene with one poor victim being pulled down the river into the mouth of darkness had echoes of the masters of the 40's macbre like Val Lewton and Jaques Tournier's I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE and THE BODY SNATCHER. But once agin he deflates EVERYTHING he builds up to with mind-numbing brutality and gore! GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD ELI - AND PLEASE - DO NOT MAKE A PART III!!
Ok there is no point to this movie and the girl bathing herself in blood is in stay alive as well its an old legend about a lady named elizabeth and they ripped it off, EVEN worse than Hostel one
