We loved it! Meryl Streep was very good. Tommy Lee Jones was fabulous! The whole
thing rang true from start to finish. We laughed, cried, and felt we'd come away with
some important realizations about how fear of rejection can cripple you.

I love Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones - I expected more from this movie...
More humor -
Some parts should have been left to the imagination - "movie scene"
Not a Streep type of movie - she has so much more to give...
Save this for home view ---
Better movies out there --
I took my sister who's married and her late 70's --- she was a little put off ....

Heart-warming and well-acted. Meryl, of course, was incredible. I'm a Tommy Lee Jones fan, so I 'm always a bit biased where he is concerned, and I loved watching his character change over the course of the movie. I highly recommend-very entertaining.

I thought this movie would be charming/funny. It wasn't. I generally detest Steve Carell, but as a straight man, he was (mostly) palatable. Overall, I give Hope Springs a yawn.

Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones are such great actors that they capture slightly-more-than-middle age reality all to well. This movie did two things - 1) Made me appreciate my own marriage and 2) Depressed me terribly!
What I found REALLY interesting was that NO ONE was chatting as they left the theater. Although this movie has a few laughs, it's mostly a sad statement on the difference between men and women and how they feel about life as it rolls along.
See it with friends if you want a good discussion topic. See it with your spouse only if your ready for the effect it may have on you as a couple!
