Born in the rural American South in 1915, bluesman David "Honeyboy" Edwards went on to live a long and eventful life, unlike his more famous contemporary Robert Johnson. In this 2002 documentary, filmmaker Scott Taradash offers a look at the life and career of Edwards, from his struggles as an African-American in the early 20th century to his experiences as one of the most unsung greats in blues music.
