'The Grey,' 'End of Watch' Return to Theaters; What Other 2012 Movies Would You Like to See Re-Released?

By: Derrick Deane on December 3, 2012 at 2:50PM Comments (24)

In hoping to mount an Oscar push, Open Road Films announced today that The Grey and End of Watch will be returning to theaters for limited two-week engagements beginning December 7.

The Grey will screen at the Laemmle Monica in Santa Monica, CA and the Laemmle Town Center in Encino, CA.

Meanwhile, End of Watch will return nationwide. The film opened in theaters during a very crowded late-September weekend, having to fend off Dredd, House at the End of the Street and Trouble with the Curve as well as Resident Evil: Retirbution.

The two-week run for Watch comes before the storm of Christmas Day hits that include Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained and awards favorite Les Miserables.

The Open Road re-releases has us wondering, what other 2012 films would you like to see in theaters again?

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Chronicle, 21 Jump Street, The Raid: Redemption, Moonrise Kingdom and indies like Trishna, Ruby Sparks and The Perks of Being a Wallflower all get a re-run. How about you?

Absolutely hated "The Grey." It was an exercise in "How to do absolutely everything wrong if you want to survive a plane crash in the wilderness." The very first thing they did wrong was to leave the crash site. The conclusion that they wouldn't be found because the construction company wouldn't send anyone was wrong - the construction company may not, but the USAF, USN, and Coast Guard would have been blackening the skies with search aircraft, and with infra-red imaging in a very cold environment, finding them would have been a good bet. These guys all died 'cuz they were boneheads, and with the experience that Neeson's character was supposed to have, is implausible.

It probably won't. It didn't make a whole lot at the box office and reviews for it weren't that good

He saw all three times in 2D he ain't a big fan of 3D like miyuia. I would see the Avengers again too. George really liked it and the first two times a few friends invited him. I did not want to see it because i did not expect it to be that good
