    A Hit for Dax Shepard

I have followed Dax Shepard from early in his career and in this movie, his particular take on life and love really benefits from his improved writing. It is tighter, it is more consistently funny, he has just the right amount of surprises and a more cohesive story that is, and this isn't always important to me, more accessible and likable by a wider audience. His directing can't be faulted, he gets fantastic performances, especially from Kristen Bell, he lets Bradley Cooper off the chain a bit, and I'm not sure if it is all good, but it is a side we don't see often. I saw this the same day I watched Premium Rush, and this was by far my favorite, Mr. Shepard is adorable and charming and he usually doesn't play to those strengths, but in this movie he does in his own way and you will soon find out why I have been following him, waiting for a gem like this to come along. I know there are more like this up your sleeve as a writer and an actor and I hope you keep getting your movies made.

    Much Better Than Expected

It's always nice to go into a movie with low expectations only to find a gem of a movie that you really enjoy. Hit and Run was a fun comedy where I could just sit back, relax and enjoy. All the characters, even the bad guys, were so likeable. I enjoyed the characters, story, and car chases. Is this going to be the best movie you see this year? Of course not. Are there holes in the story? Yes. Is it going to be 2 hours of your life you'll enjoy? Absolutely. Go see it.

    HIT & RUN

This movie has great driving scenes that I found entertaining. The acting is fine and the cast seemed to fit their parts well. It is predictable and there are no surprises to catch you off guard. If you don't mind excessive cussing from start to finish then it's worth an evening at the movies.

    Entertaining!

My husband and I saw the movie this weekend and were superbely entertained. The humor is kind of raunchy and radical at times but it's a fast paced story with many unexpected twists and turns that'll keep youi on the edge of your seat.

    Well worth the ticket price

    by

This movie had the wife and us laughing hard several times and enjoying it throughout. I was impressed to see that Dax Sheppard starred, directed and co-wrote it. There are some feel good elements to it, which isn't something you generally see combined with violent slapstick and foul-mouthed comedy, but worked well, IMO.

    Fun Day At The Movies

I became aware of this movie when the two leads made an appearance on AM Northwest in Portland. They were so natural and appealing; I decided to see the movie.

It was lots of fun from the very beginning to end. I think I will see it again.

One thing I did not like was the overuse of the F word.

    Watch for cameos.

I would look forward to a sequel...

    Hit & Run

Other than the three laughs.....just an ok movie.....would not recommend it......would not purchase it. So sad that movies are not very good any more, last good one I saw was the proposal. Although, I'd rather srr an ok movie than one that is evil filled with murders - that's not entertainment it gives crazies ideas. Also found it unnecessary to talk about gays, although it was in a positive way (supporting) it just was not necessary.

Low budget movie with weak script

Very disappointed in this low budget movie. The only reason I didn't walk out was I enjoyed the chemistry between Kristen Bell, a real doll, and Dax Shepherd, But other than that, the movie was low budget from start to finish, with a weak predictable story and little special effects. The cast was good, but wasted in this cheaply made movie. Not sure I'd even recommend this for a Redbox rental.
The movie is not appropriate for anyone under 17 due to frequent language and nudity from random characters thrown in.

    Had me in stitches!

This is the best script for a movie I have seen in a very long time. Absolutely hysterical gut busting comedy mixed with very sweet relationship dialog and car chase scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat... More of a girl / date night movie than you might expect.

One warning- If you have very conservative social values, this move may not be for you. The dialog pushes the envelope of political correctness - 2 or 3 older people in our theater walked out, leaving the 50 remaining people to laugh out loud without the feeling of our disapproving grand parents judging us.

Great movie for a young, edgy generation!

    Hit and Don't Go....

I wish I hadn't wasted my money on this movie and my friend felt the same way. It was very slow, very predictable and simply not funny. The acting was ok, but the story line was horrible. The movie is not for children due to nudity & language. Save your money & wait until it comes out on DVD if you feel you must see it. Trust me, you're not missing anything!

    Waste of 5 bucks!

    by Kilgi

As much as I like Kristin Bell I seriously hate Dax Sheppard. Hes a camera hog who's not funny and thinks he is. This movie was not just bad but really awful and that's sad as there is a great cast here minus Sheppard. Don't go run away from this movie.

Hit and Run, More like a Hit and Miss

This movie is labeled a comedy, but it really wasn't. If you're in the field of sociology or social work, you will get a lot of the jokes. The trailers didn't portray the movie at all.
It was more of a soft action/adventure movie. The acting itself was good, some characters played their part well, others did not. Kristen Bell stayed true to her character. This is a movie for adults and teenagers to enjoy.

    Hit & Run

I saw the movie and we almost walked out, it was that bad. But after paying the price of admission, I usually stay for the end of a movie. The so called comedy was so bad, I had to wonder about the caliber of people that laughed. Don't waste your money.

Collin_J_Cole Hit & Run was a good movie though. Dax Shepard acted, co-directed and wrote it. Which is something I plan on doing. Mainly writing though.

100Movies1Year Watched Hit & Run last night, plenty of good things in there. I think Dax has a lot of potential as a comedy writer.

yunggun9 Hit & Run was okay. Kristen Bell was annoying as usual but good to see Dax survived Punk'd. 6/10, +.5 for Bateman cameo #moviecritic.

allflicker HIT & RUN was great fun. Killer soundtrack, cool cars and an unexpected emotional core. I'd like to see more films from Dax Shepard.
