Light it up, Kareena fans

Revisiting somewhat familiar territory after Fashion, Bhandarkar turns his attention to the games Bollywood plays in Heroine. Kareena conveys a multitude of auras as Mahi Arora - lonely and hurt at times, bold and brazen at others, as the movie tracks her journey of victories and disappointments, professional and personal. Arjun and Randeep are enlisted to contribute to specific points in the narrative, as do Helen Aunty, Lilette Dubey, Ranvir Sheorey and Shahana Goswami, and are convincing for what they were called upon for - to help chart Mahi's transformation from an upbeat girl-child into a now-I-know-where-I-belong woman. A couple of sparkly tracks by the Merchant duo round out this flick. Ratings are so one-dimensional, so I'll say this - If you like a lot of Kareena on your screen, go watch Heroine!

A little different than the other bollywood movies. Focuses on the waning years of stardom. Portrayal is little intense. More educational about the life of bollywood than entertaining. Could easily be seen once.

same bhandarkar formula of rise and fall of a person in a industry. repeated in fashiion, chandni bar, corporate and now in heroine. If you have seen one , you've seen all. Superficial characters and same stereotype acting by kareena. stay away from this.
