Not Just an MMA Movie

Considering this was Happy Madison I wasn't expecting much. However, I was very entertained. It was as much an underdog/sacrifice story as it was a commentary on modern education. Well done by Kevin James.

Got to see an advance screening a few weeks ago and enjoyed it so much paid to see it again with friends. Predictable story BUT suprisingly good performances. Kevin James does an excellent job. Salma Hayek does well. Good to see Henry winkler can still deliver. The movie was laugh out loud funny. The only thing I would say warn about the the film is that the violence is pretty realistic but hey it is a movie about MMA/UFC. I give he movie a solid B+

classic Adam Sandler movie. woth every penny although i dont know about it being PG for some MMA violence. i think that this is one of my favorite Kevin James movies of all and i didnt think it could get better after Zookepper. this movie was so funny and thier was no references to anything inopropriate. so overall a good movie.

Awesome movie! Took my 9 year old son and two of his friends, we all laughed a lot. Being a sap, I even teared up a few times! I highly recommend it. It's a feel good movie with a good story!

Liked the film - would bring older grandkids to it

It has been months since I went to a movie. I went under protest with my wife. I was not sure about how MMA or UFC would work with the PG rating (too many Van Dammes movies). However, the mix of MMA/UFC fights did not detract from the movie. I was LOL from the beginning of the movie. The whole audience was also laughing with me. They were a mix of families, younger couples and baby-boomers like me. The chemistry between all the characters contributed to my enjoying the movie and made the film's story line believable. I particularly enjoyed watching the interactions between Kevin James and Henry Winkler (always will be the Fonz for me). The message of funding extracurricular activities like music impact on kids came through. I would take my older grandkids to this movie (8+).
