  Although this movie had it's slow moments, I would have to say its a good movie overall. This movie could quite possibly be considered a chick flick...who knew?!

  Loads of Action, Fun, and Mayhem - How can you loose?

  Just saw Hellboy II - The Golden Army. This was a fast paced well executed story with superb special effects. Guillermo del Toro's Vision for the film outdid the 1st installment by a significant measure. Some of the comedic scenes fell short but, for the balance of the film, everything else worked. The execution of the story onto the screen was elaborate and richly detailed and the acting was great; Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Doug Jones bring their characters to life with great intensity. When the mythical world starts a rebellion against humanity in order to rule the Earth, Hellboy and friends are there to save humanity - ungrateful though they are for that little service. If you didn't see the first (I chose to rent that one after an all nighter that left me in bed sick for a whole day) no matter, this one works so well you get the background very very quickly. At a minimum, go see it for the special effects and the visually stimulating sets. It?s worth it just for that.

  I think this movie did a better job then the first! Humor, action, storyline was on the dot, not messy, was meaningful! A movie for the whole family ! Great job!

  This movie was awesome. I saw this a few days ago and all I can say is wow. So much action and what an entertaining movie. Compared to handcock, hellboy takes the cake.

  Great Movie.

  DONT GO IF YOU: dont have any imagination, have IQ lower average. Never had a dream when you were a kid. Never beleived in Santa Claus. etc..
  If you were born brainwashed and you cannot see beaty and mistery of the world around you, please dont go to this movie. Go and re-watch your favorite "Inconviniet Truth" (SCI FI too. just made for robots like you) instead. Because tons of brainwashing material will make you fell better about yourself. This movie will make you feel misareble if you are a person described above. Although you will never admit it, you are the kind of person who will throw a stone into the "freak" to get cheers of blind crowd.
  
  DO GO: If you opposite of the things written above. If you recognize mistery of this world, and let your imagination fly just a bit higher than the average, pathetic modern man. This movie is not quite as deep as Pam's Labirinth, yet it is not shallow. It has action, excelent story, and excelent characters. Who remain true to themselves.

  I expected there to be more action in it, but I really enjoyed it. The Barry Manilow scene was helarious! This movie was a great time, although it is obviously setup for a sequel movie.

  What Happened...?

  Hellboy I was an excellent and well paced movie. It was engaging and exciting. But what the Hell-Boy happened! II was fractured in theme and content. The painfully injected love theme was horrifying to watch. The writing was poor and seemed conflicted and forced. All the coolness and intrigue of the first film was tossed away for a very uninteresting and disengaging sequel. The Men in Black throw backs in the film were embarrassing and amateurish. The force fed environmental politics and implications were incongruent with the movie itself and stood out as out-of-place. The martyr themed inner story lacked emotion and just dumb downed the characters. The failed relationship between Hellboy and the fire-starter was boring. If not for the fantastic fighting sequences, this film would rate as one of the worst of all time. It salvages a 3 out of 10 for the fight scenes and the excellent scene with the Oracle. Why couldn?t it all be like this? This is a big thumbs downer.

  Action packed, Fun, and Total Excitment - How can you possably go wrong on this hit??
  
  We finally saw Hellboy II - The Golden Army. This was a fast paced well executed story with fantastic special effects. Del Toro's Vision for the 2nd film outdid the 1st Hellboy by far!!. Some of the comedic scenes were just not working for me on this one but, everything else worked so perfectly. I'm telling ya I was blown away with all of the actors coming together and excuting one of the best richly detailed and amazing film fiiied with special effects that were amazing,it was action packed fun and exciting for myself but my 14yr old neice loved it as well . It seemed as though the characters were live..in front of your face... .

  If you didn't like the first one...see this one.

  Much better than the first. Liked the first one. Was not disappointed with this new installment. Good laughs and Big action. Not too bad of a love story also. If nothing else, go to have fun.

  Hellboy 2 Rocks

  I have seen this movie 5 times and I love it more and more everytime i see it.. I just bought the game and you get a free movie ticket with the game so i am going again this week and taking my younger brother who is the only one in my family who has'nt seen it yet but who has been waiting to see it..... This movie is a must see if you have'nt seen it yet so much action and stuff going on in it leave's you wanting more and waiting for the 3rd......

  Hellboy II

  I loved it. A very entertaining movie. I was a quiet fan of the first and got the DVD and enjoyed it even more with each viewing (now I'm a loud fan of all things Hellboy). The second one has even more stuff going on and every scene filled up with Guillermo Del Toro's creativity -- like the troll market. I enjoy the relationships between the BPRD characters: Hellboy, Liz, Abe, and Jeffrey Tambor's Agent Manning. There's a lot going on. This movie is for people who have enjoyed: Labyrinth, Pan's Labryinth, Dark Crystal, Ghost Busters, Men In Black, X-Men, King Kong (imagine if King Kong were a plant), Lord of the Rings, and so many more -- yet, you don't feel it's ripping those movies off -- it's its own movie...And, Who doesn't love Hellboy? (thanks Mike Mignola for creating such a fun, sweet character from hell).

  Hellboy 2

  This movie was wonderful. The visuals were stunning and there were excellent special effects and creature effects throughout the movie. The sheer number and variety of awe-inspiring monsters and scenes make this movie really worth the price. Anyone who enjoyed the first Hellboy movie would definitely enjoy this one, and I would say many who haven't seen the first one (or weren't that impressed by it) would thoroughly enjoy this sequel as well. The plot was at times outlandish to the extreme, but given the nature of the movie this isn't a hindrance at all. If you go into the movie expecting a decent film based on an outlandish comic book character you won't be disappointed, and indeed will probably very pleasantly surprised.
