    HEAVEN CAN WAIT

Ernst Lubtsch's film about a man reviewing his life's romantic exploits before Heavenly official Mr. Jordan in flashback is a completely charming piece of American nostalgia thrown in with good dose of sentimentality about life's trials and tribulations. Entire cast is winning - especially Don Ameche, Gene Tierny and the unflappable Charles Coburn as the wisecracking, unconventional grandfather. Was unnecessarily remade in 1978 with Warren Beatty, so make sure you see this version of the classic endearing tale first!
