    Pacino and DeNiro share the limelight in this Oscar-worthy telling of the age-old tale of cop vs criminal, updated to a modern, gritty LA setting. Pacino shows the fearless and relentless cop who's only life is fighting crime; DeNiro, the thriling, dangerous world of the professional criminal. Both share the pain and loneliness that comes with the dedication to their craft. Supporting characters are well written and acted, particularly Jon Voight. The movie moves well with terrific editing, excellent soundtrack and beautiful cinematography. In the end, one is left hoping for another Pacino/DeNiro collaberation.
