Not the worst! Not the best, but still not the worst
In my opinion, there are two types of Horror movies: Slasher (Friday 13th, Texas Chainsaw) or Spooker (6th Sense, Pet Cemetery). Haunting falls in to the Spooker genre, and does a decent job at it. Spooker movies tend to have things that jump out to scare you ( though the music will give you a clue), or those 'did-you-see-that-too?' moments. And at that, Haunting in Connecticut does rather well. The story line is a bit off, and somewhat hookie, but since it is based on a TRUE story, then they did the best they could with what they had.
Overall, minimalistic on the blood and guts shots, pretty decent on the creep factor, main characters were believable, story line maybe not so much. This would be a good rental flick. Keep all the lights out if you do!!
Scale of 1 to 10...................6.
