Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

    by ironman15

this is just a average film. this is definitely the worst harry potter. it was boring, and slow. and had a lot of awkward moments. and wasn't to empress with the special effects. very disappointing movie. should have been better. but with all that said it was still a film worth watching. and loved the ending. one of the best endings of the serious. now there were a lot of things that i liked about the movie, but just more things i hated about it. my grade MATINEE

    Order of the Phoenix review:

    by howardtheeduck

Unfortunately the Order of the Phoenix did not have the formula it needed as did it's predecessors. The story stretched throughout 90% of the movie, and did not portray the sense of adventure as it should have. In every Harry Potter book, Harry and his friends are always trying to figure out something suspicious. This movie had that, but it was far too easy to guess the plot and where things were going, so in other words: PREDICTABLE. The humor was off in this dark story as well. And after reading the book, this movie was very disappointing on how closely it followed it. So what if it was long enough of a movie? The most important thing is to get as close to the book as possible, for the screenplay did not pack a wallop until the very end. Even in the end, the quick dramatic scenes were obviously not long enough to grab emotion. Just because Harry lacked emotion, it does not mean the movie should as well. On a good note, the movie is worth watching. I give this movie a 4 out of 5.
