I've seen this movie a few times and yesterday i went and saw it in IMAX, Fandango saying that it wasn't in 3D when I entered the movie theater with my cousins we got 3D glasses and the 3D was amazing even if only the first 12 minutes are 3D it was still amazing much better from the only like 5 minutes of 3D in the fifth movie. I am disappointed that there wasn't that much action and it focused on the relationship of Ron and Hermione too much where in the 7th book Rowlling really focuses on that. Still the seriousness of it was lost at times, and also it seemed as if they changed scenery and mood of the scene to quick one second it suspicion and curiosity the next happy and funny. Still it is a good movie to watch but I recommend reading the series.
10 minutes of 3D ?
Despite some weeknesses in the story because of the limited length, the IMAX movie was a real treat. Especially the first part, filmed in 3D, was beyond my imagination. It was as if you were right in the room with the characters. I am definitely lookng forward to more movies in 3D an, yes, I think that's the future of cinema. The film itself lacked in particular in two areas: the romance between Harr and Ginnie deserved much mre attention. And to have Professor Dumbledore die in just a few seconds is not worth the great character. In the book there is a huge fight going on about Hogwarts - nothing of that is seen in the movie. Therefore, one of the weaker Harry Potter movies but definitely a movie experience seeing it in IMAX 3D.
condensed story for big novel
The film overall is great, but the ending is very dark. I wonder if it might upset the yongest kids.
