This movie was a lot of fun. It was definitely in the Van Helsing style. Modern action and language set in the past. It's something I personally like, but it's not for everyone. Gretel is definitely hott and sassy.

Although the movie was made well, great special affects and the actors did a good job, the movie was very predictible and after the first or second witch hunt ...extremely boring. Not for little kids as the blood and guts was ongoing.

I didn't really think I could enjoy a movie about a fairy tale like this, but I really did enjoy this one. Although, it's not scary at all. Pure action. A good watch if you want some gore and violence!

Not a kids movie...

I was really apprehensive about seeing this because I didn't think that it would be that great. I was very pleasantly surprised when I found that I was wrong. The writers did a great job of taking this child's tale which was creepy as a kid and turning it into an awesome adult movie. I know that the parents who took their kids felt pretty bad about a quarter way into the movie for having them their. It was funny, action packed and well acted. Definitely worth seeing in theaters.

Nice entertainment for a rainy afternoon, but if you don't see it, you haven't missed much. Fun. Get it when it comes out on DVD. Not really worth paying movie prices to see it. Great for tweens and teens. Imaginative take on the fairy tale.
