See it in

This is an updated extension of the old fairy tale we all grew up with. I thought that the cussing and brief nudity were completely out of place in this film. It's suppose to be back in the mid evil times and I do not think the F word was something women used as depicted in this film back then. I don't mean to nitpick; but this film has a few things out of place as far as I was concerned. I will however say that the 3-D effects in this movie are great, one of the best I've seen in months. There are many gruesome killing scenes, so be prepared for those. I thought that the make-up, special effects and CGI were good, not super good; but fine. I did think that the troll was excellently done. I did get a kick out the fact that one of our heroes is a diabetic and has to keep taking injections throughout the film. Like I said, an updated version of an old tale. I think if I had to do it all over I would wait until the DVD rental comes out; unless you want to experience the 3-D effects.

3D was perfect for this flick. I enjoyed the simple plot and one liners. It was PG-13 The ONLY problem was the cursing. I'm no prude and I've slung my share of F-bombs but it didn't enhance the humor. It made the one liner oddly out of place. Otherwise: Great fun!

pretty good if you like supernatural, buffy, angel, etc. While there was blood and guts, it wasn't gory or gruesome, quickly off the screen, as well.
