    Rob Zombie is truly brilliant!

Rob Zombie seems to connect with my same views on where a story needs to take you.
There are many reviews on Halloween 2 , however none of them focus on the fact that this is not supposed to be a remake to follow along with the old stuff, this is a remake to bring forth the true identity of Michael Meyers, and how it's very believable that a series of events can take over the mind of a youth whom only wanted a real family, and to feel normalcy , that couldn't happen for Michael ,,so , the man behind the mask is not truly who he is ,or even wants to be, it's who he one day let himself become, and now has to be. See this movie, and you'll see what I mean. Michael Meyers isn't evil, he's just a little boy inside, committed to what he once created in his mind that now has created him, good and evil are both a struggle of identity, ,in this case however, evil has a butcher knife, kinda hard to reason with evil right now. Go see it!

Just Saw The Movie At Midnight

    by jray014

This movie does not live up any true Halloween fans' expectations. The mindless gore while a great add-on does not salvage the fact that the movie was terrible. Michael is no longer the slowly strolling killer that we all know and love but instead comes fast, out of nowhere, thrashes the person and disappears. If it were not Michael up on the screen it may have ok, but to change how Michael kills is to change the very core of the movie. Another terrible flaw is Loomis. Without spoiling much, lets just say Loomis's attitude towards Michael is completely different than it was. New Loomis sucks. Perhaps the worst offense of all is that Zombie said the movie would be all about psychology and character development. There is no serious attempt at this in the movie. I'm all for the first remake. It succeeded in going deeper into Micheal's psyche. This second remake tried to take the series in new direction said Zombie. Instead of changing it he butchered it and Halloween may not recover.

    Ruined the Halloween Series

Wow this movie has to much gore and Micheal was to aggressive, stabbing people 10-15 times woow that is too much, the storyline was weak and didn't follow the original like other sequels do.Everyone was so different then in the first Halloween Plus it was To much screaming, truly to be honest I didn't understand the movie all it was was a bunch of blood and killings, it was stupid I wouldn't waste my money on this....So in my opinion save ur movie or wait till it comes out on dvd

    What a disappointment!

I am a huge Halloween fan from the original in 1978. I am also a huge Rob Zombie film fan and thought House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects was excellent. His remake of Halloween was bearable with some of the changes to the story neat seeing the story told slightly different. I don't know what Zombie was thinking with this. He seemed to change the ending of the first Halloween he did and 20 minutes into the movie, it's revelaed that your just watching a dream! I have no problem with telling the story different, but changing it as much as it was with all the super-natural bull****with his Mother was ridiculous!!! Not to mention, I can swear like a trucker, but all the swearing Laurie Strode did with her friends seemed fake and over the top. When my husband asked me how it was, I didn't even know where to start in explaining what happened. I'm hoping Zombie's next movie will get away from the Halloween stuff and go back to his brutal gore that he is so good at.

    Helloween Too!

This is the genre I know best so I see this kind of movie in a different way than some. I go for the effects and props and stunt work. Blood bags etc...The action in this movie never quit from beginning to end. It had new types of kills I hadn't seen before. Gruesome and forceful. No beating around the bush here. Meyers was fearless and quick and spared no one or thing. I cringed a few times at some of the kills and wondered if there's a new type of blood they're using out there because if was pretty good. The close ups were tight and showed detail. Sound is sharp and startling at times. Angel Meyers is very convincing on the panic side; She does panic well. The story was eh but the blood and guts which is what Michael Meyers is all about was there full steam. Not for kids and I saw many very young ones with parents there. Lots of nudity and raw violence. Not good for them or adults not cool with that. Otherwise go and enjoy the grossness and craziness that makes Halloween 2 a good one

    A Slasher Lovers Wet Dream!

My sister & I went to see this together & both of us feel the same way - the movie is amazingly brutal & disturbing:just how we like it! It did have a few minor drawbacks - for example some of the scenes with Michael's mother's ghost seemed both unneccesary & overplayed, however we were able to overlook the small flaws & appreciate the film for what it is - a demented slasher lovers wet dream. Zombie brings a new level of shock to the slasher genere. The death scenes are relentlessly brutal & done in full view for the audience - don't go if you have a weak stomache. We sat, gaping, clutching our hands over our mouths the whole time. I've been a huge fan of Rob's way back to his White Zombie days & although I love his music I believe that Directing horror movies is his true calling. The ending leaves you guessing & wanting more - can't wait to see what Zombie has in store for us next! We saw this movie a week ago & we're STILL talking about it!

ROB ZOMBIE NEEDS A SERIOUS ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR THE ATROCITY NAMED HALLOWEEN 2!
THE MOVIE HAS NO PLOT! SHERIE MOON ZOMBIE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO ACT IN MOVIES! HALLOWEEN WAS AND STILL IS THE STANDARD FOR HORROR FILMS, AND ROB ZOMBIE FELL EXTREMELY SHORT OF THAT STANDARD! THANKS FOR RUINING A CLASSIC

    I definitely recommend this movie

    by perichk

Okay so everyone obviously is going to have different opinions, but i don't understand what the problem with this movie was. it was EXTREMELY more thrilling and mature than the last rob zombie remake. The actors definitely were NOT as cheesy and they were in the first movie which made it seem more real, and scout taylor-compton (the girl who plays lauri storde) really KILLED it in this film especially at the end. It may seem like it moves slow to some people, but i was constantly jumping and freaking out and the last thirty minutes are basically "IT!" it is most brutal/emotional scene in the whole film and it makes everything come together.

This movie takes you back to michael's childhood a few years later/older than he was in the first one. You find out information you didnt even know before, and it's a really great movie to tie things together.

I definitely recommend this movie; i saw it at midnight and i loved it.

    Rob Zombie is a Sissy

and I never thought I'd say it. Both House of 1000 Corpses and the Devil's Rejects took brutality to the limits and did not apologize for it. His first chapter in his mangling of the Halloween/Michael Myers story wasn't even as awful as what I just saw tonight at 12:01AM. My whole opinion of the man as a director has been shaken to the core. He singled-handedly managed to turn the epic monster that was Mike Myers into this child-sparing, momma's boy, vagrant, little kid who grew up with issues. Every part of this movie made me want to punch everything in the face. I mean that. Everything from listening to Scout Taylor-Compton scream and cry or an hour and a half to the fact that every single car that in that damn movie kept getting broken into, over and over and over. It was like watching the same 20 minutes over and over for an hour and a half. Rob Zombie managed to take a monster and turn him into a sissy for the sake of seats. Spend your twelve bucks on something else.

Halloween II is absolutely AWFUL!!! (spoilers in the review)

I am an avid Rob Zombie fan as well as an avid horror movie fan. I loved Rob Zombie's Halloween and could not wait to see H2 when I found out he was going to write that one too. I can not tell you how disappointed I am in this movie. The direction and make-up effects were great but, acting so-so. There was a lot of gore but, no real scary parts. The cheap loud parts in movies to make you jump were expected and overused. The story line was awful and did not make any sense whatsoever. Michael Myers is not supposed to make noise when he kills-that makes him human. The whole thing with Michael's Mom is just awful and definitely does not make sense. What's up with Dr. Loomis? The dream sequence was better than the movie. I almost walked out in the middle of the movie but, like any train wreck you have to stay and watch. Just leaves you wondering if Zombie actually wrote this junk. Only 12-15 year old boys would enjoy this. ATTN ROB:Stop writing stupid stuff to put your wife in.

    Halloween 2

The movie was extremely violent but that is what you usually get from Rob Zombie, these movies are quite different from the original movies. This movie was even crazier than the the first Halloween Rob Zombie created. It was really loud in the movie theater and at times you really found yourself straingin trying to keep up with everything that was going on. It could have been just a little more suspenseful, the original movies and the first one he did had me on the edge of my seat more than this one. I would still recommend this movie to people who love Rob Zombie movies and the Halloween series and just scary movies in general.

    Love it or Hate It!

Went to see Halloween 2 tonight. If you have not seen Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween , then watch it first. If you did not like the remake, you will hate H2, if you are a diehard Halloween fan but did not like the remake, you will hate H2. I am a Halloween diehard, but I liked the remake. Zombie takes H2 onto his own path and I hope he does Halloween 3 to take the franchise where it has never gone before.H2 is a brutal film, it is not so much about scares as it is about shock. It is the most violent film out of all of them. I do like Zombie's approach to making Micheal Myer's a more rounded character. This film is not for everyone. If you can keep an open mind and put aside the first series of films, I think that Zombie's attempt to recreate the series is a fine one.

Mr. Zombie: PLEASE Get Your Butt Back on the Stage...

It's one thing to pay homage to something you love (as Zombie did with HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES, a professed "tribute" to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre that I truly enjoyed). It's another thing to literally STEAL scenes, camera angles and techniques right out of another movie, which happens so often in HALLOWEEN 2 I wanted to scream. And not only does Zombie openly pillage Tobe Hooper's classic, he apparently has been watching a lot of David Lynch films lately: there's plenty of surreal-sequences of Meyer's Mother and younger self coming back to him (and his sister) as ghosts in bizarre landscapes and shadows that I felt like I was watching deleted scenes from INLAND EMPIRE. His mother's otherwordly attitude is more like Jason Vorhees' mom than Meyer's mother of his first HALLOWEEN outing. If you're a hardcore fan of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, there's just NO WAY you can watch this without rolling your eyes on several occasions.

    What was Rob Zombie thinking?

From the very first scene, I became very nervous. The actor who portrayed young Michael(Daeg Faerch) was mysteriously absent. The white horse???? Older Michael with a beard, grunting while he was stabbing, not wearing his mask all the time?? WTF?

Zombie's "Halloween" in 2007 was a great film. This H2 was just plain garbage.
