Jack Black is one of my favorite actors but I believe that Gulliver's Travels isn't his best film. The writing dragged a bit. It was predictable what would happen next. There were funny bits here and there but it wasn't the slapstick humor we all know Jack Black can do and does well. Instead of being a comedy for all ages, it turned out to be more of a comedy for the select few. The writing didn't live up to the book very well either. This is defiantly not Jack Black's best work.

Not Jack Black's best film, but it was cute and mildly entertaining.

After reading a few of the reviews here and in the media I was tempted not to go to this with my family. It isn't that bad. Yes the humor is very much Jack Black, which at times in good, and at times is bad. But overall the film is worth a time out with the family and does have more than a few laughs. It isn't all about crude humor, in fact very little. I have seen more crude humor in other movies not as good without Jack Black. Bottom line is if you are going to see a movie geared to children, don't go into it thinking as a snotty adult. Just enjoy.

Jack Black is funny as always in this likeable family take on the classic "Gulliver's Travels". Black delivers some humorous punch lines and there is sufficient potty humor for my nine year old son and eight year old daughter. The only complaint I have is the ending in which the whole kindgom breaks out in song and dance. I could have done without that part and the ending might have been stronger. Overall, it was an enjoyable movie but not one I would pay to see again.

I took my son to this movie and it was not only a great movie for him but an awesome movie for adults! I laughed and enjoyed the film!
