Totally fantastic IMAX experience. Great story, superb acting by Sandra Bullock, and unbelievable special effects. Sure there are things you can pick apart, but this is escapism at its best and I highly recommend it! Note: I wasn't interested in seeing this movie at all based on the previews and I'm not a huge sci-fi fan, but hubby wanted to go and I'm so glad we did. (Bring Kleenex...just saying.)

The cinematography was so amazing in this film!!! You really feel like you are there with Ryan - experiencing are anxiety and fears. The musical score was also amazing as it heightened the story. I would recommend this to all sci-fi lovers!

Director Alfonso Cuaron has made that rare film: the action/adventure movie that also qualifies as art cinema. Tension is built so effectively you can feel your heart racing as the characters are propelled from one crisis to another. The production and direction are so seamless, the viewer can get lost in the illusion that he/she is in space with the astronauts trying to survive in a place where life is impossible. To get the full effect and best appreciate this film, it should be seen in the IMAX format. it is only the second 3D film I have seen (Avatar being the first) where the 3D is an enhancement to the story and not just a gimmick. When you add excellent performances by Sandra Bullock and George Clooney to the signature long tracking shots and bursts of frenetic action of Cuaron, you get an exceptional film going experience. This movie is beautiful to look at, remarkable to behold and a thoroughly enjoyable film-going experience.

Director Cuarón shows us that 3d can be aan integral part of a movie experince, not just a gimmick. This movie takes you into its own world and makes you live it. Bullock and Clooney are effective and nuanced. Lubezki´s cinematography is crisp, concise and beautiful. Don´t wait to watch gravity at home; this is one of the few movies that must be seen in the largest IMAX screen possible. I drove 120 miles to see it!

This movie was meant to see in IMAX, I originally wanted to see it regular screening, no 3-D, no IMAX, but after reading other reviews I decided IMAX was the way to go, and I was not disappointed.
