Totally fantastic IMAX experience. Great story, superb acting by Sandra Bullock, and unbelievable special effects. Sure there are things you can pick apart, but this is escapism at its best and I highly recommend it! Note: I wasn't interested in seeing this movie at all based on the previews and I'm not a huge sci-fi fan, but hubby wanted to go and I'm so glad we did. (Bring Kleenex...just saying.)

Loved the story, loved the acting, loved the effects. I was on the edge of my seat from five minutes in. Gravity is my candidate for best picture, Sandra Bullock for best actress, George Clooney for best supporting actor. It wins best cinematography and best special effects hands down. And Alfonso Cuarón for best director. Seen in IMAX 3D, it knock your socks off. What was really great about it was it's plausibility. This wasn't a science fiction movie. This is a must see movie.

I enjoyed the movie. It was one that I was at the edge of my seat most of the time. With the 3D IMAX I felt like I was right there tumvbling thru space with them.

Saw it in IMAX 3D the first night. I think everyone in the audience had seen the trailer where the shuttle is hit with debris and Sandra goes flying off into space, and everyone was probably thinking the same thing I thought: "Alright, how are you going to impress me now, movie?" My expectations were pretty much blown away. Best use of 3D I've ever seen (and I still think 3D is gimicky) and the thing that stuck with me the most afterward was the feeling of being in outer space. Loved it. Scenes bridged well from one interesting idea to another and at 90 minutes run time, I never felt bored - I wanted it to go on longer (and I had to pee real bad; went to Lucille's and had a couple beers prior). Aside from a few scenes where Sandra says something completely unnecessary (and totally, dumbed-down, movie-cliche dialogue-type stuff) I enjoyed myself the entire way through. The epic-ness of this movie totally redeems any negatives you might pick the movie apart for.

Director Cuarón shows us that 3d can be aan integral part of a movie experince, not just a gimmick. This movie takes you into its own world and makes you live it. Bullock and Clooney are effective and nuanced. Lubezki´s cinematography is crisp, concise and beautiful. Don´t wait to watch gravity at home; this is one of the few movies that must be seen in the largest IMAX screen possible. I drove 120 miles to see it!
