Great IMAX 3D Effects

Wonderful special effects sequences make this an exciting visual experience, somewhat reminiscent of a Stanley Kubrick film. Preposterous story of survival, however, is more like Marvel Comics fiction than science fiction.

Gravity is so richly visual to get the most out of what the director is giving you, do yourself a favor and go to an IMAX 3D theater and sit in the middle two or three rows from the screen. Eat all your popcorn during the trailers and once the movie starts, buckle up and prepare yourself for the most immersive 3D experience you will ever see. Gravity is INTENSIVELY AWESOME!

It's hard to pinpoint my exact opinion on this movie. The visual effects are phenomenal without a doubt, but the story, not there for me. You basically followed Ryan around space. It was not a bad movie, worth seeing, but I don't think the movie of the year.

Definitely recommend seeing this in IMAX 3D to fully immerse yourself in the gorgeous views from space. The special effects are amazing, and totally fuel the intensity of this emotional tour de force.

You don't need to read my review... just go see it in IMAX 3-D. But if you want to read my thoughts, well then, keep on reading. Story line is light, but the cinematography and motion and photography- and all of the sensory stimulation makes this an amazing film. I want to go back and watch it again. Some of the action was so real, I actually had to close my eyes because I was "feeling" physically what Sandra Bullocks character, Ryan, was experiencing. Now that I know what to expect more, I think I will be able to keep my eyes open the whole time! I took my 19 year old son and two of his friends and we all really enjoyed it. Also- I am not a huge movie theater fan, so I do not go often... only when I hear that it MUST be seen in the theater, which this film must be.
