There's nothing like a Grateful Dead concert and the movie was the next best thing. It just didn't last long enough. I learned some things about it I didn't know last Sunday on Tails Of The Golden Road. HAD A GRATEFUL TIME.

The sound quality was great, picture was ok, poor in some places. Would have been much better if there would have been more concert, and less setting up for it.

My ONLY disappointment was when the show ended. This movie delivers a bird's eye view of an event that illustrates why The Grateful Dead were so special. The Band gives a fantastic performance for an appreciative audience gathered as a celebration of community, family, and love. The sound is amazing. I enjoyed being able to see, identify, and associate the band members' performances and voices with the individual and collective music they produced. Spectacular!

Part historical, mostly music. In 1972 the Grateful Dead play an organic dairy (the first ever) to save them from their IRS debts. Great stories from people involved and then craftily woven into the concert footage - which is amazing especially if you're a fan, and a guitar player to see so much fretwork up close from Jerry & Bob & Phil. Spoiler alert: They don't raise enough money. The Grateful Dead played for free and then wrote them a check for the rest owed. You don't see that often in 2013. The struggling company is now known better known nationally as Nancy's Yogurt.

The seating was very uncomfortable and the movie actually stopped 20 mins in and they had to restart it, so people saw same movie twice for part. The sound could have been louder and the lighting could have been turned off faster. Otherwise movie was really good.
