An astonishing achievement for 1939. Gorgeous Technicolor. Each frame seems like a painting. Timeless performances by Clark Gable, Hattie McDaniel, Olvia deHavilland, and, especially, Vivien Leigh.

It's very cool to be able to see a classic movie on the big screen. The Grand made it even more fun by doing a trivia game before the movie started.

Gone With The Wind - Amazing After 77 Years

When I was 14, my parents took me to a downtown Chicago fancy theater to see Gone With The Wind. I was enthralled! I just saw it on the big screen yesterday once more and I was still enthralled. It is amazing to me that this movie was released in 1939. It still holds up today, so well. Parents, take your children - it is a historical movie, a romance like none other and has plenty of action. All the actors are perfect, the music is amazing and the quality of the film excellent. It has few equals. I am thrilled that it was brought back to the big screen.

What can I say besides fantastic! This is my fav movie of all. Many insights into time period with some small mistakes but Scarlett was a strong character who struggled with many emotions. They DON'T make movies like this anymore! They too have Gone with the Wind!!!!! I loved it again!!!
